About the club
North Seattle's Home for Complete Baseball Development.
We train competitive, resilient ballplayers who honor the game and look out for their teammates. That carries over into the classroom and the community, not just the field.
Our mission
Our mission is to develop young athletes of character and help them build the baseball skills necessary to pursue their individual aspirations. We strive to provide a continuous developmental home from the beginning of competitive baseball through the end of high school—challenging players to grow as athletes, teammates, leaders, and members of their community.
Whether a player's goal is to contribute to a high school varsity team or continue their career at the collegiate level, we are committed to providing the instruction, preparation, support, and opportunities necessary to pursue it.
Throughout that journey, our expectations grow alongside our players. As they mature, players are asked to take increasing ownership of their development, their teams, and ultimately the culture of the Rainiers organization.
Development
The same coaching staff and the same facility mean players build on what they already know instead of restarting under a new philosophy every season.
Character
Skill gets a player on the field. Character is what keeps them there. We hold players to the same standard in the dugout, the classroom, and the community.
Community
We build long-term relationships, not a revolving roster. Families stick with the same coaches, the same teammates, and a culture built to last.
Our approach
11U–12U
Our youngest Rainiers begin by developing a lasting love for the game while building strong fundamental baseball skills. Players learn how to practice with purpose, accept coaching, contribute to a team, and respond constructively to success and failure—all while developing respect for teammates, coaches, opponents, and umpires.
13U–14U
As players mature, they are expected to take greater ownership of their preparation, improvement, and conduct while learning to balance baseball with the other commitments in their lives. They begin to understand that accountability extends beyond themselves and beyond the ballfield, learning to respectfully hold teammates to shared expectations while recognizing the responsibility they owe to one another.
15U–18U
Our oldest Rainiers are expected to become leaders within their teams, throughout the organization, and in their communities. They take ownership of their development and their role within the team, model the standards of the program even when no one is watching, and mentor the younger Rainiers who follow them. All players are prepared to succeed at the high school level, while those who aspire to play beyond high school are given the support and opportunities necessary to pursue a collegiate career.
Learn the standard. Own the standard. Lead the standard.
Every Rainier begins by learning from those who came before. In time, they take ownership of those lessons. Ultimately, they become the leaders who pass them on to the next generation.

A message from the director
Our Rainiers program traces its roots to the local youth baseball community and our longstanding partnership with North Seattle Baseball (NSB). While a lot has changed since our founding, our core commitment to providing a complete baseball development home for our local youth has not.
Whether our players are striving to make their high school roster as freshmen, contribute to their varsity squad, or continue playing collegiately or beyond, we are here to help them develop and reach that next milestone every step of the way.
As Director, it is my responsibility to ensure that our commitment to developing our own remains at the forefront of everything we do. And having spent many years as a teacher before taking on this role, I also understand that some of the most important lessons our players learn while in our program will extend far beyond the baseball field.
Some days, that means our work will be focused on refining swings in the cages or improving pitching mechanics. Other days, it means learning to respond to adversity, take responsibility for our actions, or support a teammate through a difficult moment. Each of these experiences is an opportunity to grow, both as a player and as a person.
Through it all, our focus and mission remain unchanged: to develop young athletes of character.
Go Rainiers!
